City League Round 4 (preparation)

I'm participating in the current season of the Pandanet City League. I'm Player 3 on Boston 5. (We have a very active and strong club!)

One of the really nice things about City League (apart from the opportunity to get crushed by stronger players) is the chance to prepare for your games, since you know in advance who you'll be playing against. (Of course, this is Round 4, and this is the first time I've gotten my act together enough to actually do this, but it's pretty awesome.)

We're playing Atlanta 1 on Sunday. My opponent goes by "Topgun" on IGS (usernames are case sensitive! huh?!). So I downloaded a bunch of his recent games to check out his playing style. Unfortunately for me, it looks like he has a very aggressive style and it seems he likes to make things complicated. I tend to fare much better against a more classical style.

I did learn that he seems to be fond of a double approach (one low, one high) against the star point. It looks like his opponents either don't know or choose not to play the standard continuations. (I just looked them up; otherwise I wouldn't know either.)
